Hello!
Carrying on this weekly vibe for all of us, a week of astonishment, heartache, questioning, as well as my own personal recovering from bronchitis, and carrying on…
Stepping into the big girl shoes of leadership, of service, of holding the torch of love, passion, creativity, and feminine power.
I let go of shock, of amazement, and know that now we can all assemble, stand tall, show up, speak up, and live with our own authenticity, our own values, and our connection with our communities.
We still live with our creative visions, we still desire to make this world a better place, we still live with our desires and most of all, we move forward with gratitude, for what we have, where we have been, and what we have been able to create and build, alone, and together.
And what we can do. To stay inspired, to never stop moving forward with our dreams.
LIfe is a dance. We dance in unison, we dance with integrity, we move with spirit, and what the ancestors have taught us. We listen to what can be. We build centers of healing, we create sacred spaces for ritual, places to create, we move our bodies with spirit led connection, that eye and soul contact, that listening to the deep rhythms inside us. We dance our talk. Showing up. We do what we say we will do, want to do. We don’t back down (thanks Tom Petty).
We know what we are here for and want we want to create. And co-create together. The support, the inspiration, the connection.
Noone can hold us back, no one can take that from us. We are women and men, who are magical, powerful entities, we hold the key to life, we hold the visions, the mothering life-giving forces, the crone wisdom, and the beautiful maiden voyages of youth. the guradians. The warrior spirits. The wild forces.

Returning
She weeps
She mourns
The yesteryears
As she pulls back into herself
She becomes fearless
Again
Sifting through the changes
Praying to her guardians
Her gods
Her mothers
Letting go of the dis-ease
She climbs into the stars
The moon
The sun
To change courses
Again
Grasping onto the spirit way
To work her magic
Again
Fierce with her beliefs of herself
Centered and sure
No and again
Cloaked now in the comfort
Of sacredness
She feels the desire weling up inside
What she used to know so well
It is returning

The fire lights up
As if by magic
Sizzling, popping, sending up sparks into the night sky
Memories of Aurhtur brown yelling, Fire,
I teach you to burn
I feel the heat roar up within me
Tired of hustling, trying, forcing
It’s time time to create now
And let the newness unfold
Releasing the old tired ties
They have been unraveling for years
Untangling the web of pushing to hard, pleasing too much
Listening to all but myself
The flames burst up now and again
With those stuck thoughts
Sending twinkling stars into the dark
Reminding me of what was
And will never be the same
Putting to words as the truth
Trickles down my limbs
Into my fingers from the body to the page
Unleashing the new wildness
Re-wilding this new age
These new threads that are weaving free
As I allow them to interlace
Into being
Mysteries at first
Resolving the intricacy
The often complicated fibers
From the core of my being
Burning woman, now
An effigy, ready for the destruction
Hot on my heals
The fire roars
I breathe deep into the flames of my heart and soul
Exhale, blow it out,

Inhale the night’s dew

I’ve been cooking up a storm this week, cooking 3 meals a day for my mom.. All pretty easy and standard meals for her, and she is NOT vegan! But she gets my veggie meals… vegan BLT’s, stir frys, and my fav ramen-inspired Butter Tofu bowls… so good…
and made that vegan ceviche salad again ( hearts of palm, cucumber, mint, lime, mango, celery!) loving summer salads…

July 22nd
What is rocking your world this week?
I’ve been doing weeks of road tripping traveling! From Palm Springs to tiki bars to visiting friends to our family cottage on a small lake in Coloma, Wisconsin, to Madison with friends, to Chicago with my brother from another and his gal, and now to Columbus Ohio to stay for a awhile and help my mom!
What have you done differently this week? I love this idea of DSD, Do Something Different, whether that be in how you run your business, or what you do for fun, or what?
What happens when you do something different? You might get your heart rate up and sweat a bit out of nervousness, you might get exhilarated from something so fun, you might do something and hate it, so many options. But I love stepping out and trying something, perhaps something I thought I would never do… or just never had the opportunity. For one, driving across country is a whole new adventure, and is begin super fabulous.
Some of the things I have done, outside of my everyday normal:
- Gorgeous country road cruising
- Famous tiki bar visiting and tasting their MaiTais ( Jeff’s still rock)
- Enjoying the ever-changing beautiful landscapes this country offers us
- Kayaking in the early morning on a quiet lake
- Writing more poetry and more journaling
- Playing Yahtzee until late in the night with good friends with tears of laughter rolling down my face
- Reading and napping ( well, I do that a lot at home too!)
- Happy hour cruising on the lake with my other brother from another and a glass of wine
- Hiking to the point in Madison
- Thunderstorms
- Lightning bugs
- Sitting on the lake with friends in Madison, which is a totally rocking town
- Ebike riding around the town
- Supper club martinis
- Thrifting
- Improvisational dive bar and pool playing
- Bowling and more bowling, which I now am obsessed with
- Country bar karaoke ( NOPE!)
- Wallpaper obsessions
- And more thrifting
