We strengthen our bodies, move to the beat, feel the pulse, and dance in circle. Feeling so good and connected. A dance for community and fun and well-being!

A dance of the soul, a dance to connect to each other, a moving meditation. A dance that unites all cultures, all races, all women. Basic, tribal, circular, and feminine. Spiraling through the body, a dance that feels good on all bodies of all ages. Safe, gorgeous, and physically rewarding. A dance to feel alive, to feel connected within oneself, to be in the moment.

A dance that was all the things, inspired by the ancients, by different healing modalities, within different countries, adding assorted layers of a multicultural mish-mash of fabrics and stylings and gracefully laden baubles and beads and tassels. A romantic notion of wandering gypsies, of gathering tribes, circles of expression, the traveling caravans of yesteryear combined with the life of today, the past made modern, reflections of made-up visions of barefoot stomping down dirt roads taking over city streets, with heartbeat rhythms of drums and wailing zurnas and swaying melodies to move the heart.

Paulette has been a global dance leader and innovator for over 30 years, traveling the world, teaching, performing, coaching, and creating tribes of artistic expression, well-being, community, and the joy of being alive in our bodies!

We write, we read aloud to share, we experiment with different styles of writing and journaling, with evocative prompts, some rambling, experimenting with poetic verse in different forms, mystical and magical imagery, and deep dives into our own lives. Writing ourselves into being present, showing up, and letting our muse take us to that special place of expression.

Breakdown and drilling as singles, with a partner, and in group.

Sahara Styling
Drawing on GC inspired steps from Morocco, Tunisia and the Magreb this is an exciting and fun workshop! We will add fans and/or baskets for added flair

Shawl Love
Join Deirdre with your Spanish shawl to swirl, drape, swish this beautiful prop in some stylized moves and combos – styling our GC moves and adding some variations – solo and partner fun

5. Allie
Unleashing our Feminine side through slow movement.
Do you have trouble slowing down? What about that breath? Do you hold it or allow the breath to move through your movement?
I will guide you through several different breathing practices and techniques that I have found to be very effective. When we hold our breath we are sending a signal throughout our body of holding tension!
Let’s use several breath techniques as we go through our most basic foundational slow moves that really bring out our soft Feminine side.

SACRED GEOMETRY
Drawing on sacred Geometry and all of the feelings evoked from that. Dancers in a shape of forward facing Triangle (inverted V or Chevron) and transitioning to downward-facing Triangle shape. Transitioning between these two shapes. Adding in cascades.
The triangle often used in Alchemy to represent the four elements of Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Also having 3 points and the number 3 is often considered sacred with many different trinities,
Mind, Body and Spirit;
Mother, Maiden and Crone;
Past, Present and Future.
Such a joy dancing in a triangle (also called Chevron) and in this shape the cascade is visually beautiful.

Incorporating a frame drum, adding GC moves and let’s dance with La Luna’s energetic glory, in all her phases as we embrace her illuminated pull and connect to her power with balance and grace.
I am drawn to the Moon…she always invites me to Dance.

Adding a divinely feminine session with mudras and poses for adding confidence, strengthening, and flexibility!
Adding in  journaling questions to gain clarity about you and your dance, and to empower you in your dance, your body, and your life!

the 5 elements speak through your body, let’s discover their language and get in tune with them

Level Up Drills with Misha!
Level up your dance technique and refine your GC movement, with a fast and furiously fun drill class with Misha! We will kick things off with a daily practice that will help set you up for dance success by building strength, flexibility, and range of motion in the body, including working through a variety of movements that are “building blocks” for our beloved GC vocabulary. And then Drill Sergeant Misha, who is known for her ability to focus in on the details of our dance to help hone technique, will take you through a series of nonstop dance drills featuring GC movements, building from basic to more complex. Get ready for a wild ride of dancing fun that will help you practice and improve your moves as you have a blast!

 Happy Solstice, beautiful soul!

Hope your week has been going splendidly,

I so love hearing your words, your dreams, your desires, and being able in my classes, to give you inspiration and tools just lights me up. And when I see you taking action and moving forward, creating your change, well, dang, my heart just splits open for you. And we are going to rock this next year, I can just feel it… so many things have shifted, times have changed how we approach work and play and pleasure and desires. 

It is a new day, it is ready for a new you, and I want you to show up, stand up, shout it out, and honor your precious dreams by taking action, now, finally, this is your time, my friend. With not just inner dreams, but with wisdom, and action. That’s why we make a MAP, a Magic Action Plan… to add accountability and action, and excitement to those “to do” items, or the steps to move forward, with gorgeous intention, knowing your why, and how, and when….

And remember, 

Your Desires Are Sacred!

 

They are real. They are yours. And they are meant for you to have come into being, into fruition. Your abundance.

And you are here to live the lifestyle you desire, to have the life, the abundance, the freedom you want. You get to curate it, meaning you get to create it, organize it, and design it, the way you want, with your beautiful feminine energy.

I just love to interview, hear, and share these stories. We not only talk about our Gathering event coming up, but we talk about our aging bodies of being a dancer. How we have to change up our workout and style and dance and even be more loving and self-caring of our bodies!

We are always evolving bodies, and how our energy changes too. What a beautiful vision too, to honor all the phases of our feminine womanhood, maiden, mother, to crone…

plus the opportunities that have come to all of us to gather together, online, the global tribes, many of you have met each other, some of you have wanted to meet each other, or had the chance to study with someone different. Lots of new ideas, some tried and true steps, carrying on the legacy of Global Caravan ( at one time, Gypsy Caravan) and watching the beautiful evolution of creative integrity!
