What does being Authentic mean to you?
It’s a big word going around a lot these days, and for good reason.
I enjoy looking up words online… words are fun to play with… Here are a few examples for the word Authentic, or authenticity.
Wiikipedia:
Authenticity refers to the truthfulness of origins, attributions, commitments, sincerity, devotion, and intentions.
Miriam-Webster:
not false or imitation: real, actual
worthy of acceptance
true to one’s own personality, spirit, or character

Definition:
real, genuine
Synonyms:
accurate, actual, authoritative, bona fide, certain, convincing, credible, creditable, dependable, factual, faithful, for real, legit, legitimate, official, original, pure, reliable, sure, true, trustworthy, trusty, twenty-four carat, valid, veritable
Notes:
genuine means not fake or counterfeit – or sincerely felt or expressed, while authentic means conforming to fact and therefore worthy of belief and trust
Being authentic feels to me to be organic, finding my true nature from inside, without the aid of outside input! It feels good, natural, true.
When I am being authentic, I can move with trust, intention, and mindfulness. I feel connected, with my inner being as well as my physical body. I don’t need to judge myself, nor do I need to put limitations on myself, if I trust myself.

Happy Monday *|FNAME|*
You know that saying, “Stop and smell the roses?”
Well, I’ve taken it to heart this summer. I’ve spent lots of time walking outside, visiting gardens and sightseeing, in between work and caretaking for my 97-year-old mama. Good times of meditation, self-connection, listening in to my heart and soul, reviewing and rewriting some of the ways of my own self-sabotage and procrastination, just as I have been talking to you about!
