what a week, sorting through jewelry, used bits and pieces of my costumes,

and with my harddrive crashing and burning, I’ve lost lots of photos…

so looking at the jewelry helps with some memories. silly me, with no computer backup of late… (there’s a lesson in that one!)

but here you go…

remember to email me to see if the single pieces are still available before you send money, via Paypal

to dance@gypsycaravan.us

those shipping prices are US only, if you live elsewhere we will need to add on, but if you buy more than one item we can consolidate on the shipping fees!

now, have at it, and enjoy, may my pieces bring you as much joy in your dance as they did me :)

getting ready to take the new/old ’63 shasta on the road to the vintage trailer rally in roslyn, WA (yep, where they filmed Northern Exposure!). It is road ready, but not much else, this beautiful 17 ft. trailer, meaning no water, no heat, no propane yet, barely a bed, but it is all coming. We’ll take the corgi’s, some coolers full of good eats and wines, and open eyes to see all the other trailers and get some pointers!

amazing (non dance) road trips of late…and some cool campers! Jun 07, 2011

DSCF2770I live in a beautiful land, I do. The Pac NW is a place of stunningly gorgeous, powerful, and monumental land and water formations, and I have been covering much of it in the past 3 weeks in my trusty little T@B camper, with my man Jeff and the corgis, or by myself.

First it was down the gorge to Peach Beach to camp with my T@B pals on our 4th annual rally and do some wine tasting. One day we drove up through the rolling wheat fields of eastern Washington to Prosser to visit a few  wineries, with rolling fields of beauty all the way, as well as strangely beautiful bits of junked up land.

a vintage jalopy junkyard!

One the way home we climbed the back hills of the gorge to taste delicious wines from Memaloose and Domaine Pouillon wineries, way up high overlooking the Columbia River. Wow…

The next weekend we ventured  south to Klamath Falls, OR to pick up our new/old trailer, the ’63 Shasta that had been rebuilt. That day took us through sun, rain, hail, snow, wind, and more sun, as we drove up and over the central oregon mountain passes to get to the high desert of Klamath Falls in southern Oregon. Lots of different landscapes too, besides the weather changes. Outstanding…

DSCF2901We picked up our new trailer! Oh yea, been looking for a Shasta for years, and  here is the ole ’63, just waiting for us. Hitched it up and brought in back home.

I so enjoy cmaping/glamping with Jeff, we always have a blast, and travel well together. But now it comes to my time, and my new camping friends–the girls! I drove my maiden solo voyage this last weekend with the TAB, meaning by myself, to join in my first glamp-out with Sisters on the Fly in Spokane, WA. This took me again through the Columbia Gorge, one of my all time favorite places on this planet. The windy gorge makes you realize just how small you are and how big and powerful the earth is.

Up again through Prosser to hang with my gal friends, and then the caravan of trailers up to Spokane, to camp out at Riverside Park and to vintage shopping at the FarmChicks HUGE sale of about a million vendors. But really, it was to wear pettycoats and be silly out in the woods!
